10 Highly Underrated Rock Music Album Covers

1. Steal This Album! - System Of A Down

Of course System of a Down made an album that promoted theft. Of course they did. Who else but the wailing madman that is Serj Tankian could have come up with this and then got a record company to agree to put it out.

The cover art for the group's third album is simple; it's a blank CD cover with the name of the band and the title written in what seems to be black marker pen.

Straight to the point, no messing about.

This album's name was possibly inspired by a leak of rough demos that appeared online prior to its release. Instead of complaining about it, System of a Down decided to embrace the idea of music piracy and encourage their fans to nick physical copies of the album instead.

The cover for Steal This Album! sums up everything that is so beloved about SOAD. It's funny, it's counterculture, it's anti-capitalist, it's weird as all hell. In just a few simple words on a blank CD cover, the band were able to get across their entire personalities.

Fingers crossed nobody actually got arrested for following this album's orders.
