4. What Are You Waiting For
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-Ng5muAAcg The sign of longevity in any form of entertainment is being able to move with the times, whilst still remaining true to your roots and giving your hardcore audience exactly what they want. For Nickelback, this means releasing the first single from a new album that's definite, hard-hitting rock, then following it up with one which will draw more eyes on the album as a whole. In November, 2014, the band brought out 'No Fixed Address', their full-length record. The lead single, 'Edge Of A Revolution' is underpinned by a stomping riff which harks back to the glory days for the band's fans, but with enough pop sensibility to keep things marketable. 'What Are You Waiting For' mixes that up entirely, sounding for all the world like something more at home in clubs rock fans wouldn't dare tread. Smart move, boys. Smart move.
