10 Huge Rock & Metal Bands Glastonbury Couldn't Handle

3. System Of A Down

A good old-fashioned, friendly natured mosh wouldn't go a miss in a field, am I right? And that, ladies and gentlemen is a short but sweet reason why System of a Down would prove too much to handle for Glastonbury's land. With the American four-piece alternative metal band, one does not simply jump up and down to B.Y.O.B or wave their hands in a swift manner to Chop Suey! Instead, they would leave behind more craters in the fields than their are on the moon as soon as frontman Serj Tankian begins the set list opener. The band have been touring on and off since returning from a four year hiatus that lasted between 2006 and 2010, and with over 40 million records sold since the release of their self-titled debut album in 1998, demand is high for their name to be included in UK line-ups. But just like many of their fellow metal brothers, SOAD will be avoiding Somerset for the much more heavy-welcoming land of Donnington, where the thousands of adoring fans are much less static and smartphone free.
