10 Hugely Anticipated Albums That Will Dominate 2017
4. U2 - Songs Of Experience
Love 'em or hate 'em, there's no denying the release of a U2 album is an enormous deal (especially if you're an iTunes user, am I right?).
Songs Of Experience is set to be a sequel of sorts to the band's 2014 release Songs Of Innocence (you know, the one thrust upon everyone against their will, don't know if I've mentioned that yet). Both titles are taken from William Blake's collection of poems Songs Of Innocence And Of Experience.
According to guitarist The Edge, the band's initial plan was to develop a lot of Songs Of Innocence's leftovers into fuller tracks for Experience, but that they scrapped most of that stuff in favour of writing brand new material. Whatever form the record takes, expect it to be accompanied by an enormous world tour. And don't worry, even if you're not a fan, the band will find someone way to get the record in front of you.
