10 Iconic Albums You Won't Believe Are Turning 20 Years Old

1. Simple Plan - No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls

I'm Just A Kid? Not anymore you're not! It's 20 years later and a lot has changed - but one thing that hasn't is how iconic Simple Plan's first album was for an entire generation.

No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls was, well, anything but the latter as one of the most recognisable bands in pop punk emerged onto the scene with hit singles I'm Just A Kid, I'd Do Anything, Addicted and Perfect from an album where almost any track could have been on that list.

With guest vocals from Mark Hoppus on its opening track and from Joel Madden on their third, Simple Plan's debut album was all guns blazing.

The album was certified as double Platinum in Canada, while peaking at number 35 on the United Stated Billboard 200, while also hitting Platinum in Australia, Gold in New Zealand, Silver in the UK, and the song I'm Just A Kid was certified Platinum in the US.

Simple Plan have just released their sixth album, Harder Than It Looks, and replicating the success of No Pads definitely has not been easy. So much so, the band have returned to those roots with their latest outing!

No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls is officially 20 years old, passing the milestone on 19 March.
