10 More Rock Songs That Insulted Other Musicians

6. Infectious Grooves - Do What I Tell Ya

You might be able to work out from the title that this song is a shot fired at funk metal legends Rage Against the Machine.

It's adapted from the famous refrain from Killing in the Name, only with one notable word removed for obvious reasons.

Infectious Grooves isn't some sort of dancing-based disease, but rather a supergroup founded by Suicidal Tendencies singer Mike Muir.

Muir originally formed the band as a more comedic outlet for his creativity, but he also wasn't against using it as a way to vent his frustrations.

According to Muir, Rage guitarist Tom Morello said something about Suicidal Tendencies that he didn't take kindly to. As a result, he took a shot at them on Infectious Grooves' 1994 record Groove Family Cyco.

Do What I Tell Ya sounds like if an AI wrote a Rage Against the Machine song; the song even apes Morello's famous guitar tone.

Muir also doesn't hold back with the lyrics, chastising the other band for preaching anti-capitalism whilst being signed to a major label.

To be fair, he's got a point with that one.
