10 More Rock Songs That Insulted Other Musicians

5. Not If You Were The Last Dandy On Earth - The Brian Jonestown Massacre

You don't think of The Dandy Warhols, the band who gave us Bohemian Like You, as being capable of starting beef. Then again, stranger things have happened.

The feud between the Warhols and The Brian Jonestown Massacre (great name, by the way) all started with the song Not If You Were the Last Junkie on Earth. Released in 1997, the track was part of the Warhols' second album and was targeted at their friends-turned-rivals.

Let's just call them BJM from now on to save time.

BJM clearly took offence to being mentioned in the same breath as a junkie, because they fired back with their only intricately-titled reply.

Not If You Were the Last Dandy on Earth is a very clear reference to both the original song and the group behind it. It was released in the very same year as the opening salvo, leaving absolutely no doubt as to who it was about.

Either song could have taken this spot, as they both get pretty personal, but you have to admire the gall of almost completely ripping off another artist's title in a song putting them down.
