4. The Strokes

The last time we got any substantial new music from The Strokes was in 2016, with the admittedly disappointing ‘ Future Present Past’. Before that was the equally uninspired ‘Comedown Machine’. You might be surprised at the fact I’m looking forward to a new album by the New-York legends, but the arrival of a new single promises a bold new direction for the band, and hopefully a return to form.

Singer Julian Casablancas has found relative success and acclaim with his other band ‘The Voidz’, and with the new song ‘At The Door’, we see him mix his synthy side project, with lyricism and song writing that first made the Strokes so famous, to great success.

With a slew of comeback shows in 2019, and more to come in 2020, Their new album, titled ‘The New Abnormal’, is set to release on April 10th.
