10 Most Hated Albums In Rock Music History

4. The Trilogy - Green Day

Anyone familiar with Green Day knows that they're able to pull off something a little bit ambitious. After becoming one of the more lackluster bands in the pop punk scene, their ability to reinvent themselves on American Idiot and actually going further on 21st Century Breakdown left fans eager to hear what was on the rise next. When it came time for the next album though, they may have gotten just a little too ambitious for Uno, Dos, and Tre.

Looking to make a triple album being released across a few months, the entire project seemed to be doomed from the minute that the first track was released. With the release of Uno, it was clear that something was tonally off, with some of the tracks feeling more like filler than anything else. That was not a good sign for the first leg of the trilogy, with every other respective project having some of the most forgettable tracks in Green Day's catalog, or some that you wish you could forget like Nightlife.

As we would discover later, something actually was seriously wrong here, with Billie Joe Armstrong being strung out on pills and eventually checking himself into rehab shortly after their appearance at a performance for iHeartRadio. Since most of the Green Day best of CDs only feature one or two songs from these records, this is pretty much just a project that the band just wanted to wipe their hands of at this point.
