10 Most Over-Hated Rock Albums Of All Time

1. Neighborhoods - Blink 182

It was the end of many teenager's childhoods when Blink-182 called it quits in the mid-2000's. With the members falling out due to creative differences, one of the greatest pop punk bands of all time had suddenly fallen silent. Once the band reunited in 2009, many fans were ready to feel that nostalgia all over again.

While fans initially were kind to the band 2011 album Neighborhoods, the love for this record has gone drastically cold in recent years. Given Tom Delonge's commitments in Angels and Airwaves, many criticize the album for having more to do with space rock than pop punk. That's a fair assessment, but that's not really what the album's MO is.

The entire record feels like the logical next step after the band's alt-rock self-titled record in 2004, as they continue to experiment with other genres on tracks like "After Midnight" and "Ghost on the Dance Floor." It may be a bit spacey in moments, but it seems to be coming from a genuine artistic place rather than just a lack of ideas.

The pop punk bug isn't even fully gone, with tracks like "Heart's All Gone" bringing up the tempo amid the more contemplative tracks. The reunion may not have lasted, but this might be looked at as an undiscovered gem a few more years down the road.
