10 Music Artists Who Absolutely Hate Each Other
4. The Gallagher Brothers
For every great duo in a band, there's always going to be that bit of tension getting in the way of things. Regardless of what each of you bring to the table, the rub between creative forces can be a big headache, even though it rakes in the huge hits for you. Whereas most of this comes down to resentment or just obnoxious behavior, the Brothers Gallagher may be the one duo who genuinely hated each other from day one.
Though the Davies Brothers of the Kinks first had that sibling rivalry dynamic in the '60s, the two moptops behind Oasis were out for blood both in the Britpop war and with themselves. For most of their tenure, you'd be hardpressed to find a nice thing one of them had to say about the other, from Liam talking about Noel being a dictator to Noel even calling his brother expendable in the band.
Then again, both of them made them what they were. As much as Noel might get the credit for writing most of the tunes, a song like Rock and Roll Star or Supersonic simply wouldn't work if not for Liam's whiny drawl selling it the rest of the way. Despite all of the soured relationships that have come and gone in rock and roll, it tends to feel a little more testy when it actually becomes a part of your bloodline.
