10 Music Artists Who Released Their Best Album Second

1. Say It Out Loud - The Interrupters

Despite what most punk fans want to believe, the genre has been somewhat dormant in the 21st century. Some artists slip through the cracks, as Converge, Touche Amore and PUP are valiantly carrying the load.

Many find nostalgia in the somewhat unexpected 1990's fusion of punk rock and ska music, and those of us who cut their teeth on The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Rancid, Operation Ivy or Reel Big Fish were left wanting, right up until The Interrupters released their self-titled debut in 2014.

The debut was enjoyable, absolutely, but it was more of a positive sign of better things to come. Two years later, better things arrived, and in style to boot.

Refining their bouncy, ska-punk sound with the second outing, Say It Out Loud, The Interrupters found success with songs like 'She Got Arrested' and 'By My Side'. The former is perhaps the most recognisable tune in the band's ever-evolving discography, dealing with a hefty theme of domestic violence but in a way that adheres to the band's 'punk' label.

Say It Out Loud is a joy to listen to from beginning to end, clocking in at under 40 minutes and always leaving you chomping at the bit to throw it back on.
