6. Kanye At The 2009 VMA's
Kanye West has been one of the more controversial public figures in the 2000's. Even though he tends to have a massive ego and does many pretentious things, the man has a ton of talent as both a producer, rapper, and songwriter. But his most infamous moment by far came at the 2009 VMA's.
When Taylor Swift won her first award for Best Music Video, West took the opportunity to storm the stage to let Swift and the audience know that Beyonce should have won for her video for "Single Ladies." After a barrage of booing, West simply shrugged and left the stage, leaving Swift shocked and upset.
Later in the evening, Beyonce won an award for "Single Ladies" and welcomed Swift back to the stage to have her award acceptance moment. Over the years, West has been back and forth about his actions that night.
On one hand, he has openly apologized to Swift. On the other, he has since described his stunt as a selfless act.
Whether it's good or bad, that night did give the Internet the immortal phrase "Im'ma let you finish." And that's at least one positive that can be extracted.
