10 Musical Reunions That Were A Disaster

5. OutKast

In the grand scheme of hip hop acts, OutKast really belongs in a class by themselves. Even though the actual dynamics between Big Boi and Andre 3000 was nothing new for the time, their interpolation of everything from rap to jazz to funk to rock and roll was something that few hip hop artists have managed to touch ever since. However, don't expect any more resurrections at this point.

Over the years, most fans were clamoring for more music out of these two, with Andre's solo material being made up of only guest verses on other artists' material. Just when people were beginning to lose hope, the reunited OutKast managed to hold together to perform at Coachella and a number of other dates in 2014. As opposed to the rapturous response many might have expected, this was a real shaky return for the duo, with Andre's traditional lively style looking somewhat jagged whenever he took to the stage.

After those few dates, there hasn't been any activity happening ever since. Adding insult to injury, Andre's statements afterwards regarding the reunion shows haven't necessarily been positive, saying how he felt like he was selling out and not really enjoying himself during each of the shows. For as much as the door is open for OutKast to make something awesome in the future, let's just hope there's a little bit more charisma in it than this.
