10 Notable Artists With Incomplete Catalogs On Spotify

1. Tool

Tool has always been known to follow the beat of its own drum. The band takes its time when it comes to making new music, as evidenced by its last studio album being 2016's 10,000 Days. While there are rumors of Tool finally making its music available for streaming on all digital services in the near-future, this has not yet happened, and the Tool artist page on Spotify does not even have an artist photo.

This is especially strange when considering that Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan's other bands, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer, both have their full discographies available for streaming through Spotify. However, Spotify user Socionic has a playlist titled Influenced: TOOL online for those looking to listen to artists and songs that appear to have inspired Keenan and crew.

In separate interviews, Tool drummer Danny Carey and bassist Justin Chancellor have both dropped hints of Tool's next album coming out in 2018. Tool's last major activity was a full-scale U.S. arena tour in 2016. Keenan has since been on the road with both Puscifier and A Perfect Circle.

In the meantime, a search of "Tool tribute" on Spotify will bring you more than a dozen albums, including an 8-bit tribute, several piano tributes, several string quartet tributes, a baroque tribute, and a "gothic acoustic" tribute.
