10 Often Forgotten Nu Metal Bands
6. Ill Niño
Skindred may hold the title of reggae nu metal juggernauts, but Ill Niño hold the title as the biggest Latin metal band of the genre.
Starting in 1998, it was 2001's Revolution, Revolución that brought the spotlight to the New Jersey band.
Set for bigger things, a surprise line-up change in 2003 saw follow-up album Confession not hit the same heights as their debut.
It hasn't stopped them, though. Despite numerous line-up and label changes in subsequent years, Ill Niño still put an album out just six years ago.
Time hasn't been kind in recent years though, with allegations and lawsuits from former members about drummer Dave Chavarri have surfaced. These claims allege Chavarri is responsible for profiting illegally from the band and cancelling tours without the band's consent, amongst other things.
Ill Niño may be a shell of their former high status, but they're still going. Maybe not as strong as they used to be, but they're still there.
Maybe just reminisce with Revolution, Revolución instead. What Comes Around indeed...
