10 Perfect 1960s Rock Albums With No Bad Songs

1. Abbey Road - The Beatles

After the psychedelic wave faded, it looked like the world's finest rock and roll band were officially down for the count. Ever since the White Album, the Beatles never really were able to get back on the same page, deciding to shelve the Get Back project before it eventually got released as the album Let It Be after they broke up. If this really was the end of the line though, they decided to leave everything on a high note with Abbey Road.

Going back to the same recording studio they had called home for a decade, this is an example of every member of the band at the peak of their powers. With John Lennon and Paul McCartney working separately at this point, their songs hold up as a creative whole, making perfect pop tunes like Maxwell's Silver Hammer and casually inventing genres like doom metal on songs like I Want You (She's So Heavy).

The real stand out here though is George Harrison, who contributed two of the greatest songs in the Beatles canon with Here Comes the Sun and Something, which have taken on a life of their own ever since. Capping everything off with a medley of classics and a final goodbye at the end of the record, most bands can only dream of ending their career on a high note like this.
