10 Perfect Albums Ruined By One Song
4. Night Prowler - AC/DC
No one in their right mind really comes to AC/DC lyrics to get an education. If you've taken anything from the band who wrote songs with titles like Let Me Put My Love Into You, it's that you don't necessarily have to be Shakespeare to get your point across. Hindsight is always 20/20 though, and Night Prowler is probably going to go down as one of the worst aged songs in recent memory.
Which is a shame because the rest of Highway to Hell is a damn good time, with the title track being one of the band's greatest tunes and also having some bad boy attitude behind something like Beating Around the Bush and Walk All Over You. When you get to the final song though, here's Bon Scott's chance to act like an absolute creep, as he talks about slipping into this girl's room when she's not looking and possibly getting into some...carnal shenanigans, shall we say.
Though things were certainly flexible as far as what you could say back then, it also got a little bit dicey when a serial killer was actually found in the US wearing an AC/DC hat, calling himself the night stalker. The band didn't mean any harm by this song, but this is probably a case where the rest of the world turned their backs on what could have been an innocent song.
