10 PERFECT Classic Rock Albums With No Bad Songs

2. Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd

As rock made its way out of the 60's haze, the musical landscape was wide open for other bands to take over.

Rather than playing the same blues shuffle, bands were starting to toy with the ideas of how rock songs could be made, from using different instruments to making more progressive arrangements. Out of all the attempts to push rock forward, The Dark Side of the Moon is the one album from the era that remains timeless.

When Pink Floyd went into the studio to cut the album, they crafted a grim reflection on the mundane activities of everyday life, with songs like "Money" and "Time" being broad statements on what drives so many people. Along with the songs, the production of the album is so crisp that it practically feels like the music is floating above your head as you listen.

While the album is perfect, not every song on here is exactly single material. However, if you're looking for a 3-minute banger in this record, you're seeing this record from the wrong angle. This is a record that you don't so much pick and choose songs from but instead let the music wash over you as you slowly fall into its trance.

It might not be the most radio-friendly track list, but that hasn't stopped this record from taking the hold of countless hearts over the years.
