10 Perfect Heavy Metal Songs To Listen To When You're Angry
4. Marilyn Manson - The Fight Song
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GFI6Rf-IkI Out of all of the posturing acts to emerge from the scene, few garnered the same widespread attention as that of Marilyn Manson. Informed by the darker elements of the genre aswell as his own religious views and disdain for organized religion, he adopted a model that would strike fear into the conservative media, granting him huge exposure. Of course all of this would be in vain were it not for his music sounding like an apocalyptic war of worlds, evident on the anarchic rallying cry of The Fight Song. Barreling out of the gate from the first second, the song bathes in it's own self indulgent, rebellious nature creating a soundscape of a dystopian party for the MTV Generation. With a guitar refrain that is as rabble rousing as Manson's screams, the song is too angry for time for a breather, ending in a hellish celebration of fractured proclamations. Preaching to his own choir on the scintillating The Fight Song, Manson lives up to all the theatrics that the genre initially started with. One of the most unapologetically inflammatory songs to emerge from the genre but also one of the best. Angirest Lyric: "But I'm not a slave to a God that doesn't exist, But I'm not a slave to a world that doesn't give a s**t".
