10 Perfect Rap Songs For Rock Music Fans

7. Sing for the Moment - Eminem

For most of his career, Eminem has never been that far away from rock. Although he was still known as one of the most vicious battle rappers of all time in his 8 Mile days, Lose Yourself still had that guitar line that kicked everything off and got your head bobbing from the first moment you heard it. Now that he had told the entire world to f*ck off though, Slim Shady had something a little different planned for his next breakthrough record.

Throughout The Eminem Show, you can hear Em throwing in some more rock leaning production alongside his zany beats, like the dark edge that comes out of White America. If we're looking at songs that could have passed on rock radio though, Sing for the Moment has everything you could want, with Em rapping about his struggles during childhood and how he turned it into determination to reach the top of the rap game.

As if to give the rock and roll seal of approval, the entire chorus break is just the chorus of Aerosmith's Dream On, with Em doing some ad libs in the background. This wasn't a cheap pull either, with Joe Perry actually contributing a completely different guitar solo for the back half of the song. For a brief moment, Slim was one of the few guys that could actually tackle rock and rap at the same time. Now if we could get him to make more of these instead of stuff like River, we could be looking at another masterpiece later down the road.
