10 Popular Performers That Prove Modern Pop Isn't All Bad

6. Maroon 5

Page 5 Maroon 5 are a really, really cool pop-rock band. Back in 2002 they blew us away with Songs About Jane. This sexy, crooning album of ballads and jealous jazz infused hits was one of the best debuts to come out of the 00s. Songs such as She Will Be Loved, This Love and Sunday Morning continue to live on in our memories as incredibly catchy singles. Their second effort, It Won€™t Be Soon Before Long, was also fantastic but was largely a replica of the first album. Hands All Over (which I mentioned in one of my recent articles) took the band in an excellent new direction that took 80s funk and polished it off with some modern pop-rock. That was also heavily underrated though and, in retaliation, they changed their direction again. While the new album sniffs a little of auto-tune, I can€™t deny that it has some damn catchy songs. Fortune Teller and The Man Who Never Lied should have been hit singles. Today they remain a great source of fun dance songs.
