10 Rappers That Have Never Made A Bad Album
6. MF Doom
The attitude of rappers has always come with a taste for the more extravagant lifestyle. For as many rappers occupied the limelight throughout the end of the '90s and '00s, they seemed like they were on another plane that seemed nothing short of heroic. There may have been a lot of hip-hop heroes, but there was one dissenting voice who asked a simple question: why not a villain?
No matter which moniker you know him under, MF Doom has come out with some of the most impressive records of the modern age, with him working with everyone from Danger Mouse to Madlib. Though many are quick to point out Madvillainy as his crown jewel, some of his solo efforts like MM Food have still held up as some of the most creative rap flows ever put on wax.
As opposed to the more confrontational rap stars of his day, Doom was one of the few rappers who could both scare the crap out of you and make you laugh within the span of a single verse. Even when contributing to more collaborative projects, his work with everyone from Wu-Tang Clan to Gorillaz has made for some of the most entertaining verses ever written. Yes, people can appreciate the more straight-ahead style of most rappers, but in this case, the villains do have more fun in the end.
