10 Rappers That Have Never Made A Bad Album

5. Run The Jewels

The notion of the hip-hop duo is always a bit of a tricky thing to balance. Not only do you need to have two equal-minded creatives, but you also need to have a certain chemistry to make sure your project lasts longer than just a handful of cuts. It's never an easy thing to manage, but Run the Jewels have been making the roadmap for how to do the duo correctly.

Ever since the release of the first self-titled album, El-P and Killer Mike have been some of the most pertinent voices in the hip-hop world, as they cover the more hot button issues many mainstream artists would be too scared to even touch. Though there is a bit of tongue in cheek humor to some of their cuts, this is not a group that you necessarily have to shut your brain off to in order to enjoy.

Up until this year, the fourth instalment in the RTJ catalog has some of their best cuts, as they use everyone from Zack de la Rocha to Josh Homme to create a political record that places cynicism, hard truth, and optimism all in the same room. There may be some more intricate rappers operating today, but if you're looking for something that will stick with you for days after you've heard it, RTJ really has you covered.
