David Lee Roth will forever go down in history as one of the greatest frontmen to ever commandeer the stage.

At a time when most bands were feeling too sluggish whenever they took the stage, having a guy who could do sword tricks, scream to high heaven, and exude cool from every pore of his body was a huge asset. As soon as you put on Van Halen's first handful of records, the first thing that always jumps out is Eddie's guitar sound, which seemed to sound like four guitar players playing at one time.

Despite having crippling stage fright in the beginning stages of his career, Eddie never looked more at home than onstage with a guitar, producing sounds many of us weren't even sure were possible.
