10 Rock Songs That Have NOT Aged Well

4. Jailbait - Ted Nugent (1981)

From the title alone, you've already likely guessed the theme of this track. Artistic liberty just doesn't cut it as an excuse for these lyrics. The gun-toting, cowboy hat-wearing Ted Nugent has always been something of a provocateur. He's revelled in publicly dismissing animal rights as nonsense, and although he's claimed to not care if someone's gay, he's referred to homosexuality as "against nature".

Nugent's often attributed all the bizarre stories surrounding him to his habit of misleading journalist in interviews - supposedly for fun. This might help to explain away some of his many controversies, but there's no getting away from the lyrics in Jailbait.

"Well I don't care if you're just thirteen. You look too good to be true" seems pretty cut-and-dry. Maybe he means thirteen in dog years? But then, as if to hammer the nail into his own coffin, he ends the song by suggesting a police officer handcuffs said thirteen-year-old so they can share her.

Yeah, we know this was the '80s, but how the hell did this kind of sh*t fly?
