10 Rock Stars Who Didn't Like Their Most Famous Songs
5. Liam Gallagher- Wonderwall
"Wonderwall" is deserved of its reputation as one of the most beautiful songs of the 90's. With its subdued acoustic foundation and Liam Gallagher's breathtaking vocal, the song is one of the definitive Oasis tunes and has been quoted relentlessly by guitar players at parties.
Even with all of the accolades thrown at it, Liam Gallagher's feelings on the tune have clearly cooled down with age. It has gone down in legend that Liam was offered to sing either this or "Don't Look Back In Anger," and his decision has seemed to come back to bite him. While there isn't anything necessarily wrong with the song, the staying power has dwindled in Liam's eyes, who even argued to not have the song featured on a Best-Of collection of the band's greatest hits.
In recent years, Liam has gone on to say that the tune is one of his least favorites to perform live. More than just a hit, Liam has become even more frustrated that the song won't leave him, claiming to chin anyone who dares to refer to him as "Mr. Wonderwall." Whereas most people can be emotionally moved to tears by this beautiful track, the singer simply can't muster any more than an eyeroll over the tune these days.
