10 Rockstars That Hate You For Liking Their Music

4. Thom Yorke - Radiohead

Rock and roll has always been about the more extroverted members of society first and foremost. After all, when you have to sell your song to stadiums full of people, it's probably best to have a lively attitude to make everyone feel welcome. When you give that kind of attention to a known introvert though, things can start to spiral fairly quickly.

Despite having one of the most essential singles of the grunge era with Creep, Thom Yorke wanted to keep venturing into different musical directions regardless of whether there was a market for it. Though The Bends gave Radiohead a lot more exposure on both sides of the Atlantic, Yorke was not prepared for OK Computer to blow up like it did, with thousands of music magazines heralding him as the next god of rock and roll.

Uncomfortable with the new firestorm of attention, Yorke was like a time bomb waiting to go off whenever he took to the stage for a gig, eventually culminating in one show where he left the venue entirely, only to be hounded by Radiohead fans on the street waiting to see him just a few hours later. It almost makes sense that a guy like this would go on to make Kid A, an album that is almost designed to have a more lonely feel to it. As much as the rock star lifestyle sounds like fun, it's not exactly for the faint of heart.
