"Savage" is the second track of Megan’s latest E.P, Suga. Although the track is not a typical dance-inspired song, the song did spark a TikTok dance sensation. Creator of the dance, Keke Wilson caused the dance to go viral with her well-choreographed moves displayed online. This then allowed millions of fans to do the same, including stars such as Tinashe, Hailey and Justin Bieber and Megan herself.
Suga was released one week before coronavirus being declared a pandemic. Due to this, listeners practicing social distancing erupted the "Savage" dance challenge across social media causing it to go viral.
