10 Things Only System Of A Down Fans Will Understand

3. Not Knowing Whether A Track Is On Mezmerize Or Hypnotize

2005 was a fantastic year for System fans, seeing the release of not one but two great albums. Regarded as a double album, both records stemmed from the huge amount of songs the band had written (likely due to Daron€™s more prominent role in the song writing process) and Serj's reluctance to throw away so much interesting material. For fans who were anticipating the albums in 2005 and devoured Mezmerize for months before Hypnotize, it€™s probably a lot easier to distinguish between the twenty-three songs, but for fans coming to the albums later, it can be incredibly difficult to remember. Not only do the albums have a similar visual aesthetic (with the repeated motif of the clock and pendulum) they also have a very similar sound due to the fact the songs were written around the same time.
