2. He Is The Youngest Sole Performer Of The Superbowl Halftime Show
In 2014, Mars was selected to perform at the Superbowl Halftime Show. At the age of 28, he was the youngest sole performer of all time. The show saw him cram several of hits including 'Locked Out Of Heaven' and 'Just The Way You Are' into a 14 minute medley. The show is also known for unlikely guest spots and collaborations and Mars delivered with his, bringing the Red Hot Chilli Peppers on stage to perform 'Give It Away'. It was explosive, fun and showcased Mars' trademark performance style. The drum kit in his backing band also paid tribute to his mother, who had passed away the year before.
