Although she's not recognisable in the songs she provided backup vocals for, she's still there before 'Katy Perry' was born. One song she provided backup vocals for was P.O.D's 'Goodbye For Now' in 2005, where she would also appear in the music video the next year.

But the most surprising is 'Old Habits Die Hard' by Mick Jagger, a song he wrote in for the 2004 movie Alfie. The song won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song in 2005. Sheryl Crow would record a version of the song in 2006, but Perry provided vocals for Jagger's version. 

Was this another place Perry managed to show her talent and see her career begin to form? However it started, she is a record-breaking, larger than life pop star whose career can only get bigger every year.
