6. Radiohead OK Computer (1997)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0F410qegBk Hinting a shift towards the experimental electro à la rock racket they now pretty much dominate, Radiohead's third album is a 12-track odyssey into the mind of chief songsmith Thom Yorke. Targeting an array of hard-hitting issues relative to the era in which it was created, OK Computer takes a good hard look at our age of consumerism, political apathy and general disenchantment. Although the chaps don't like to admit (at least to the press) that the album carries an intentional and continuous concept, it could certainly be argued that the limb upon which OK Computer was created has flourished and grown right through to their most recent work. Which, may I add, is equally first-rate.
