10 Times Rock Musicians Lost Their Cool On Stage

1. The Brian Jones Town Massacre On Stage Brawl

"He broke my sitar, mother f**ker" is perhaps the greatest thing anyone has ever said in responce to getting beaten down.

The Brian Jones Town Massacre has some great music floating around in the space of '90s psychedelic-folk-rock, but it's an incredible feet that the band has been able to release 18 studio albums since their establishment in 1990.

Fronted by Anton Newcombe, the collective have an impressive 17 former members, who have all either left or been fired from the band due to Newcombe's over controlling behaviour or prima donna like tendencies, that would make even Kanye West or Axl Rose seem like considerate individuals.

The 2004 documentary Dig! gives an insight into Anton Newcombe's strained friendships, his rivalry with contemporary band, The Dandy Warholes and his domineering and often abusive behaviour towards his band mates.

The documentary shows one particular gig when, for some unclear reason Newcombe is displeased with something one of his band members has done, prompting Newcombe to throw a tantrum before attempting to kick several of his band mates off the stage. Resulting in one of the more comical fights to take part at a rock show.

Later, a deflated Newcombe is shown in a backstreet alleyway with blood on his shirt, delivering a line that Napoleon Dynamite would be proud. When asked where the blood came from, he responds "from peoples faces".
