Starting a record label takes a lot of cash, and the money from Ice Ice Baby only got Death Row Records so far. Suge knew he needed some more capital and turned to Michael Harris.

Harris, also known as 'Harry-O', was a notorious drug lord and was serving a 28-year sentence behind bars when Knight reached out to him for some much-needed investment. Harris' wife managed to deal with the business end of things and a supposed sum of $1.5 million was invested in to the record label in order to get it up and running. The label proved to be a money-making machine, going on to generate profits of over $325 million during a four-year period.

However, a business founded with alleged drug money was only ever destined for disaster, and Harris' wife Lydia proved to be the final nail in the eventual coffin, suing Death Row for $107 million and forcing them in to bankruptcy.
