3. Little Boots In A Soundproof Box (2013)
Right, live music then. A chance to see your favourite artist perform your favourite songs while you and hundreds, maybe thousands of other like-minded people lose your respective bonnets and have a good time. Pretty sweet right? Well what if I offered you that but in a soundproof box? Not quite as appealing is it?
Well this was the case for electropop sweetheart Little Boots in April 2013 when she teamed up with streaming service Deezer to perform the unusual gig in London. The former Dead Disco front woman was one of four gigs in fact to perform under such conditions with Dog is Dead, The Ramona Flowers and Fridge Magnets all performing at various venues across the UK in the days prior.
Fans that went to the shows still had the opportunity to listen to the artists via headphones supplied by organisers, a silent disco-esque scenario that Propaganda club night runners salivate over.
In a 2013 interview with Hit the Floor, Little Boots described the experience as "...quite cool in the end because everyone could hear the sound really well but sometimes I would say something and I couldn’t hear any reaction due to the soundproof box. It was quite weird."
