10 Worst Closing Songs On Great Albums

2. All Around the World (Reprise) - Oasis

Ever since Oasis have released Be Here Now, the public has always been somewhat divided on what to make of these songs. While there are some people still flying the flag for the album, it's now gone down in legend as one of the biggest flameout records of the '90s, stopping the band dead in their tracks and killing their upward momentum for the rest of their career. In retrospect, this album still has its share of bright spots, but the closer is not really one of them.

Which is a shame considering that this reprise of All Around the World is actually one of the shorter tracks on the project, clocking in at a little over 2 minutes. When you look at it in conjunction with the rest of the album, this just makes you feel the length of the project even more, with every song being more and more grandiose before giving just a touch more excess just for a little bit.

If the band were to have made changes to the track listing though, saving the original cut of All Around the World for the end of the album may have ended up being the better choice. Since we already had the larger than life songs, why not lean into it a touch? After all of the standard Oasis bangers, this is the kind of Hey Jude style singalong that would have left the Oasis diehards on a high note. What we got instead though is the sad whimper of the final seconds of the song, almost as if it's begging to be put out of its misery.
