5. Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow Announces UK Tour And Headlining Slot At Stone Free Festival
Big news from Ritchie Blackmore and co. this week, as the famed Deep Purple guitarist and his long-established Rainbow band announced a small UK tour for summer 2017.
The short trek will consist of four dates across the country, the largest of which will be their headlining slot in London, at the O2 Arena's annual Stone Free Festival on 14th June.
2016 marks the 40th anniversary of Rainbow's ground-breaking Rising album, so who knows? We might get a last minute celebration of that.
If Metallica could celebrate their "Black Album"'s 20th anniversary a year late in 2012, I'm sure Rainbow can get away with it.
