12 Most Hated Rock Albums Of All Time

4. Devil Without A Cause - Kid Rock

Many people love Kid Rock nowadays based on his tride and true musings in the world of country music. The combination of more restrained instrumentation with his world-weary voice is what suits his strengths the greatest. However, the man's stabs at rock music back in his heyday is something that many of us would rather forget.

With this being his first big mainstream success, Devil Without a Cause is one of the trashiest combinations of nu metal, country, and rock that the 90's ever spat out. Whereas other artists like Beck spent the decade combining disparate styles into a unique collage, Kid Rock doesn't seem to have the same type of artistic strength, with most of these tunes being just his takes on old classic rock and hip hop tracks.

Even though most people can look back on their favorite nu metal bands with rose-colored glasses, the lyrics on this album are some of the most blanket statements of tough-guy machismo that the decade had ever seen. For as much as this album does wrong, that didn't stop the nonsensical "Bawitdaba" from becoming a staple on the radio and MTV. The 90's were one of the greatest decades for rock music, but that doesn't necessarily mean everything was golden.
