12 Problems Only My Chemical Romance Fans Will Understand

6. The Used Vs MCR

During My Chemical Romance's earlier years, lead singer Gerard Way formed a close friendship with The Used front man Bert McCracken, who was featured on the band's song You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison.

But those halcyon days are long gone now. Though the true source of their animosity is unclear, it's been suggested multiple times that Gerard's sudden sobriety clashed with Bert's debauched lifestyle at the time. For years it was rumoured the song Pretty Handsome Awkward was written about Way, though McCracken later stated €œI couldn't give less of a sh-t about MCR€. In the end, perhaps its better the relationship ended when it did, for it may only have lead to further self-destruction. That being said, you've got to wonder what other musical collaborations the two bands might have participated in. Their joint cover of Queen and David Bowie's Under Pressure sure is fantastic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cF3HvA5pdOk
