6. Polymath
instrumental/math rock/space rock About as short in the tooth as you can get, this three piece. So much so that they might not even be teething. Of course, I'm lazily basing this on the fact that they're Brighton's 'newest' instrumental math/alternative rock band and the info I can find for their forming is last year. If that's the case, it ain't too bad to playing a festival like this on year first summer as a band. It ain't bad at all. As mentioned the band are an instrumental outfit that delves into the realms of math rock and alternative rock, but there's also a spacier and atmospheric element to this band that really sets them apart. In fact it's the already concrete sound this trio have formed that easily explains their early presence at a festival like this. http://youtu.be/c950yWQ62E4
