Temples are nothing short of pioneers within the resurgence of rock and roll we are sure to have. They've taken it upon themselves to update the ideals and brilliance of psychedelic rock that was most popular within the 1960s from bands such as The Byrds and The Doors, throughout the UK. With their debut album "Sun Structures" only released a couple of days ago, it won't be long until we're all captivated by their obscure brilliance. The band began life by supporting acts such as "Primal Scream" and "Kasabian" before being noticed as the next big thing. By both radio DJs and famous faces such as Johnny Marr (The Smiths) and Noel Gallagher (Oasis) alike. The latter of which claimed they were "The best new band in Britain." This level of publicity has done the band wonders in the lead up to their albums release, and thankfully they have proved that none of this faith was misplaced. The album is absolutely brilliant, possibly the first essential of 2014. With tracks such as "Mesmerise" sure to captivate and amaze in equal measure as with each listen more details of the layered music presents itself, whilst James Edward Bagshaw's vocals serve to hypnotise and make the album pass in seemingly a matter of seconds as you become increasingly absorbed within it. With the very recent album release and imminent UK tour, there has never been a better time to get into Temples. And once they have their psychedelic hooks into you, the sense of joy they will bring you will be unparalleled.
