15 Best Infected Mushroom Tracks

One of IM’s earlier works, this track combines the main elements of 1990s psychedelic trance with dark, almost evil atmospheric effects. Featuring speech samples from the film ‘The Island of Dr. Moreau’, Over Mode isn’t necessarily a dance floor hit, but instead one of the best examples of the ‘weirdness’ vibe that Infected Mushroom has been cultivating over the years.

With a fast pace and soft, organic, acid leads, it was one of the best tracks on their album ‘The Gathering’, back when IM still followed the trance norm. This song would work best while playing a video game, preferably one in which you have to run in or explore a poorly-lit area. The malicious undertones in the synth sounds will actually make that gaming experience better.

While IM's fanbase has gotten much larger in more recent years, due in part to their adoption of a more 'mainstream' sound and their experimentation with other genres, it's hidden gems like this one that demonstrate that they're psychedelic artists through-and-through, and they know how to excel with that particular style of music.
