Many bands would kill to write a song as good as Yellow Ledbetter. For Pearl Jam, it was first released as B-side to Jeremy in 1992. Wait. A B-side?! With its Hendrix-esque opening, soaring vocal and a suitably epic guitar solo from McCready, it is a true classic. 

It is a staple song among fans, despite never being released on a studio album or as a single. Maybe that's the sign of how good a song is. With less exposure than many of the band's other songs, it manages to work it's way into the fans subconscious and unite them.

Often played live, it has earned place as a concert closer in recent years. It is a modern classic and everything a rock anthem should be.
