6. Chacarron - El Chombo
This novelty track reached #20 in the charts - despite the fact it was released in the same year as Dani California, Welcome to the Black Parade, and Sexyback. Thankfully it never stuck around for very long.
El Chombo is responsible for this 'song' which got popular for the idiocy of the verses - they were nothing but various mumbles and slurring. It could be argued that this was one of the first memes to actually succeed in charting - much like the Harlem Shake did just shy of a decade later.
In all honesty, the chorus is pretty catchy, but the rest of the song was something that was rightfully subject to ridicule. The whimsy wore off quickly.
Recommended Tracks: I wouldn't listen to anything by him, but if you must, Dame Tu Cosita is tolerable
