If you were a little disappointed with Death Cab For Cutie's last album Codes and Keys, you weren't the only one. It was a pretty tame effort to say the least, especially after they released the beautiful but sad Narrow Stairs in 2008.

However, don't let Codes and Keys put you off because the band are back in fine form with the wonderful Kintsugi. Ben Gibbard and co. have made a great indie rock record that might even surprise a few diehard DCFC fans in the process.

Tracks like You've Haunted Me All Your Life and Black Sun will stick in your mind for quite awhile, due to Gibbard's wonderful lyrics and the detail to attention they put the band have put into the accompanying music. It's what DCFC fans have been asking for for awhile and now they've finally got it with Kintsugi.
