Hudson Mohawke has floated around the music scene for a number of years now, most notably crafting together tracks for Kanye West and many of his other G.O.O.D music compatriots as of late. However, with his second album Lantern, the 29-year-old Scottish producer has stepped out West's shadow and crafted a dope album of his own.

West's protege utilises hard synths and bouncy bass lines to great effect on this record, although he doesn't completely submerge listeners with his beats. Instead, he creates a chaotic, yet highly enjoyable songs that will keep your head nodding throughout.
