If you want to get yourself in the mood for a party you can't got wrong with the debut album from The Avalanches, Since I Left You. This sampledelic treat features more than a few show starters designed to get you up on your feet and dancing through the night. Featuring extensive sampling throughout, Since I Left You has been described as a plunderphonics album, the term coined by composer John Oswald to describe music made up of multiple existing audio recordings. Bouncy, infectious and playful with the source material, it's a shame that we're still waiting for a follow up album nearly 15 years after its release.
