Forget his career as an actor, there was a time where Ice Cube was the most dangerous rapper on the planet. Well, it makes sense considering he came from volatile hip hop group N.W.A. However, when he left the west coast pioneers and started his solo career that's when people truly began to appreciate how good he actually was.

When he released AmeriKKKa's Mosted Wanted, Cube showed that he could still be great even without N.W.A. Although he managed to keep his gangsta rapper credentials, there was a lot more to this record than b***ches, blunts and 40oz. If you listen closely, you'll realise that this a socio-political album with Cube talking about the numerous injustices going on in America at the time. The honesty and boldness in his lyrics was impressive and has clearly influenced many rappers since.
