20 Most Underrated Nu-Metal Anthems

6. Bionic Jive – I Shot Lucifer

One group from the nu-metal period who deserved much more recognition was the rap-heavy five-piece Bionic Jive. Their debut album Armageddon Through Your Speakers is one of nu-metal’s buried treasures, but dust it off because first single ‘I Shot Lucifer’ is as infectious as anything put out under the sub-genre’s banner.

They rage against society’s ills, condemning illegal wars, corrupt politicians, corporate greed, and everything in between. The two MC’s deliver a dual-pronged tirade, backed by some serious instrumental firepower, with both elements coming together for one massive chorus. Before all’s said and done, you’ll be wondering too why this wasn’t bigger.

They don’t do anything fancy, but that’s not their forte. What they do though, is provide a good old-fashioned metal beat down, dropping lyrical bombs and thunderous riffs throughout.
